The North Shore Science Partnership (NSSP), a collaboration between the Revere, Somerville, and Saugus Public Schools, and Northeastern University, is a new program funded by the Massachusetts Department of Education offering middle and high school science and math teachers an intensive course of study leading to the completion of 8 out of 10 of the courses required in Northeastern University's Masters of Education in Middle School Science program. Teachers have the option of taking individual courses as needed. The courses
are open to all in-service and pre-service middle and high school teachers
of science and math in public and private schools in Massachusetts. Non-Boston teachers may begin registering now, but will be added to the course provided there is additional space, starting April 18th. |
There will be six courses running this summer in two, two week condensed sessions during July. The first session runs on weekdays from July 6-July 17. The second session runs on weekdays from July 20-July 31. The classes meet for 6.5 hours each day, with half an hour for lunch (60 instructional hours in total).
