The North Shore Science Partnership (NSSP), a collaboration between the Revere, Somerville, and Saugus Public Schools, and Northeastern University, is a new program funded by the Massachusetts Department of Education offering middle and high school science and math teachers an intensive course of study leading to the completion of 8 out of 10 of the courses required in Northeastern University's Masters of Education in Middle School Science program. Teachers have the option of taking individual courses as needed.

The courses are open to all in-service and pre-service middle and high school teachers of science and math in public and private schools in Massachusetts.

There will be Six course running throughout this summer.
  1. Energy I ( Integrating the Sciences through Energy ) - UMass Boston
    Dates: September 8, 15, 22, 29; October 6, (NO CLASS – Columbus Day 10/13), 20, 27; November 3, 10, 17, 24; December 1, 6 (Saturday), 8
  2. Mathematics I ( Mathematics for Middle School Science Teachers) - Northeastern University Dates: September 10, 17, 24; October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; November 5, 12, 19; December 3, 10, 17 plus 2 Saturdays TBD
